Take your grant-writing skills to the next level with this comprehensive 12-week training program, led by Dr. Beverly A. Browning. Designed to equip you with practical tools and strategies, this course combines expert-led lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and hands-on assignments to guide you through every stage of the grant-writing process.

Course Details

  • Duration: April 30, 2025 – July 16, 2025 (Weekly meetings on Wednesdays, 1:00pm-2:30pm PDT)
  • Format: Weekly virtual sessions via Zoom with supplementary resources and weekly homework assignments
  • Fee: $400.00 per organization (No limit to participants-must be employed by or an official volunteer of registered organization)

Who is Dr. Beverly A Browning?

Dr. Beverly A. Browning has been training grant writers for five decades. She started writing grant requests as a volunteer for a United Way agency in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Browning’s clients have included small businesses; career, volunteer, and combination fire departments; chambers of commerce; faith-based organizations and units of local and county municipal governments; state and federal government agencies; school districts and colleges; charter schools; social and human service agencies, hospitals, service associations, and Fortune 500 corporations. She has assisted clients and workshop participants throughout the United States in receiving more than $750 million in awards.


Dr. Browning is the author of 48 grants-related publications, including seven editions of Grant Writing For Dummies,™ Nonprofit Kit for Dummies,™ Fundraising for Dummies,™ Grant Writing for Educators, How to Become a Grant Writing Consultant; Faith-Based Grants: Aligning Your Church to Receive Abundance; Perfect Phrases for Writing Grant Proposals and Perfect Phrases for Fundraising; Nonprofit A—in-One for Dummies, and Rule of Thumb: A Guide to Small Business Sustainability.


She holds degrees in organizational development and public administration (with a minor in health care administration). Dr. Browning was awarded an honorary doctorate in Business Resource Management in 2002 from the United Kingdom. She is a grant writing course developer and online facilitator for Ed2Go.com (Cengage Learning/Wiley Publishing).


She is also an international trainer and keynote speaker. In 2013, Dr. Browning was selected by the Arkansas Minority Health Commission (state agency) to extract, interpret, and report five years of data for Camp iRock sothat the state could report longitudinal evaluation findings to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control. In 2015, she was selected by the Centers for Disease Control NICRD division to conduct a five-day Grant Writing Boot Camp in South Africa for ministers of health and other top-level health directors from 23 African countries.

Dr. Browning’s online grant writing courses are taught to thousands of students annually on http://www.ed2go.com. She is the Founder and Director of the Grant Writing Training Foundation (2007) and CEO of Bev Browning, LLC (2018). In addition, Dr. Browning is a current member of the Grant Professionals Association (20 years) and received an award for Outstanding Contributor to the Grant Profession. She is an 8-year Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) member. Dr. Browning is also one of the founders and a governing board member of a community bank in Phoenix, Integro Bank. In addition, she was appointed Executive Director of the Integro Bank Foundation in 2022. In 2023, she joined the governing board of the Grant Professionals Foundation.
