Wild Souls Ranch is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Fortuna. We aim to provide therapeutic, evidence-based services that support the growth, independence, and well-being of youth and families in our community.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). As an LCSW, you will have the opportunity to work one on one with clients in various settings including home, community, and our ranch setting. This position offers a salary range of $72,800-$114,400/yr, depending on education and experience.
The LCSW will provide comprehensive mental health assessment and psychotherapy services to youth and families. This role includes treatment planning, crisis support, collaboration with caregivers and community partners, and integration of equine-assisted psychotherapy interventions when appropriate.
Responsibilities
• Conduct assessment and diagnostic evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention with needed
• Collaborate with caregivers, schools, medical providers, community partners, and others as appropriate and required
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Facilitate equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions in collaboration with equine specialists
• Ensure emotional and physical safety of clients during ranch-based sessions
• Provide clinical supervision to ASWs or interns
• Maintain active licensure and required CEUs
• Complete required documentation including session notes and incident reports
• Follow all client safety protocols and ethical guidelines
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision as required
Requirements
• Master’s Degree
• Active and unrestricted California LCSW license
• Ability/willingness to be credentialed with insurance panels
• Must pass a background check
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and written, with clients, families, and colleagues
• Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to become a certified mental health professional through the EAGALA model (paid for by Wild Souls Ranch)
• Ability to engage in physically active sessions, including walking on uneven terrain, standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 25-50 lbs.
• Flexibility to travel between service locations
Preferred Experience & Skills
• Experience using trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relationship-centered approaches
• Experience working with youth and adolescents
• Experience with complex trauma, attachment disruptions, or foster/adoptive families
• Experience with anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and emotional
regulation disorders
